Johanna Pleban

Mediator | Couples Therapist | ADHD Coach

My greatest fascination has always been with human connection in all its facets. Inevitably, this also includes conflict- whether personal, professional, or societal. Throughout my life, it is from precisely these moments of friction that I have grown the most. Today, I draw on that experience, along with my professional training, to support people in navigating and resolving their own conflicts.

With additional qualifications as an ADHD coach and couples therapist, I bring particular expertise to complex situations- especially where ADHD plays a role, in diverse family constellations, or in team dynamics.

Conflict, Mediation & ADHD

A central focus of my work is mediation in conflicts where ADHD plays a role- whether from a formal diagnosis or through neurodivergent traits that are often misunderstood.

ADHD is not a disorder of communication- it is simply a different way of experiencing and engaging with the world. When different “operating systems” meet, misunderstandings often arise, and conventional methods of communication can quickly reach their limits.

This is where I step in: with professional expertise, a structured approach, and a high level of sensitivity. As a certified mediator and trained ADHD coach, I help couples, families, and teams navigate complexity and discover sustainable solutions- solutions that recognize challenges but are also grounded in the potential they hold.

In practical terms, this means I:

  • Identify conflicts rooted in differences of perception, sensory processing, or emotional regulation
  • “Translate” between different ways of thinking and communicating- with both methodological precision and human warmth
  • Bring clarity and structure to situations that feel overwhelming
  • Develop durable solutions that respect neurodivergent needs
  • Promote sustainable cooperation in families, educational settings, and workplaces
